WHAT IS LUMECCA IPL?
IPL(Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive technology that uses light therapy to eliminate age spots, sun spots, freckles and other unsightly discolorations of the skin. It also treats benign vascular lesions such as superficial capillaries and rosacea. This can be a great option for people who are concerned about an uneven skin tone and are seeking a quality, convenient treatment.
Advanced Lumecca IPL technology works by emitting powerful pulses of light wavelengths, which creates a thermal effect. These wavelengths penetrate the dermis and are absorbed by the pigment in the skin, destroying the damaged skin cells without causing harm to the healthy cells. This, in turn, reduces the appearance of spots, freckles, and other lesions in order to restore a smooth skin tone.
After just one or two treatment sessions, many patients see a noticeable improvement in their skin tone, with a reduction in spots, blemishes, and redness.
LUMECCA
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
BENEFIT
The Lumecca IPL device is highly effective due to its optimised power and output. With a high pulse repetition rate and an inbuilt cooling tip, patients have the opportunity to reach their skin goals in fewer treatments than other IPL devices, and with greater comfort.
- – Reduction of pigmented lesions (sun spots)
- – Reduction of vascular lesions
- – Skin rejuvenation
- – Acne treatment
* Pigmented lesions are spots that appear due to an excess of pigment in the skin, which can include age spots, sun damage, poikiloderma, and freckles. Vascular lesions are caused by blood vessels and can include telangiectasias, angiomas, and rosacea.
PROCEDURE
- Time of Procedure: 30 mins
- Course of Procedures: generally 2~3 sessions but it depends on the treatment result, 1 month apart
DOWNTIME & AFTERCARE
After treatment, it is normal to experience some heat and redness in the treated area. Your pigmented spots may then darken over the next 24-48 hours, and vascular lesions may change color. These are also normal effects of the IPL treatment process. In the following days and weeks, your skin tone will become more even and pigmented spots may flake off, leaving you with a smoother complexion. Patients are advised to apply physical sunscreens to avoid sunlight.
